3rd + Lamar Named Exclusive Live And On-Demand Production Partner For Open Sky Media

Agreement includes production work for Austin Monthly, Austin Home, and Texas Music Magazine

AUSTIN, Texas – Jan. 6, 2021 — Today, 3rd + Lamar announced an agreement with Open Sky Media to become the exclusive live and on-demand production partner for Austin Monthly, Austin Home, and Texas Music Magazine.

As part of this deal, 3rd + Lamar will continue to produce Austin Monthly’s virtual concert series, Front Porch Sessions, which broadcasts live on Facebook and YouTube. Bands that have performed include Shakey Graves, Charley Crockett, The Band of Heathens, Jackie Venson, and others.

In January, there will be two Front Porch Sessions shows: Jan. 14 with Walt Wilkins and Jan. 28 with Ben Kweller.

“It’s been really rewarding to play a part in keeping live music in Austin alive during the pandemic,” 3rd + Lamar co-founder & CEO Nick Schenck said. “We’re excited to deepen our relationship with Open Sky Media and collaborate with them and their partners on a variety of video concepts this year and beyond.”

In February, 3rd + Lamar will produce the live stream for Austin Home’s inaugural Home & Design Awards, a local competition for commercial and residential architects, interior designers, artisans, builders, and landscape designers. Other projects will be announced at a later date.
